Online Safety for Parents

Our online world is ever growing and changing, and as a parent it may feel like a minefield to navigate!

At Stelling Minnis, we recognise that technology is developing at a rapid pace and part of that preparation is ensuring that pupils have a thorough grasp of the opportunities that technology offers. In school we teach our pupils to make the best, sensible and safe use of the technology on offer both at school and at home.  Working with parents, we aim to ensure that our pupils are literate for the digital age now and in the future.

We address online safety through our collective worship, themed days and in our computing and PSHE curriculum. More information may be found on our curriculum page.

Parents/carers can, rightly, be very concerned about online behaviour and conduct and so we have provided some factsheets (below) about the most common risks that children will face.

Our Online Safety Policy may be found here https://www.stelling-minnis.kent.sch.uk/web/_policies__procedures/658796
